Taal Volcano Eruption: The day after Taal Volcano eruption
January 13, 2020 - the day after Taal Volcano Eruption.
Sulfuric gas replaced the oxygen here and everything you see is gray. All covered with volcanic ash. No more green / lush plants survived in the wrath of Taal Volcano.
This video is a quick glance of its effect.
Can you imagine the disaster it brought near the danger zone?
Taal Volcano Eruption: Naglabas ng toxic gas at nagpaulan putik
It was 12th of January 2020, we had no clue that Taal Volcano erupted. We received no warning from our national disaster agency of some sort. It was like a doomsday movie where you will see mud raining coupled with rotten-egg or gas coming out of nowhere, and very loud thunderstorm with huge grayish black clouds.
I immediately took plastic plate and place it outside to check the contents of this uncommon pouring of whatever it is. The rain contains mud, sand, and pebbles. It is hard to recall what happened afterwards, better to watch the video here.

Equisetum hyemale how to grow
Equisetum hyemale or more widely known as 'horsetail plant' is a non-flowering evergreen perennial.
How do horsetail plants (equisetum hyemale) grow? Horsetail plant reproduces through its spores (not seeds). The plant rhizomes about 2 inches below the soil.
Because of it resembles a miniature bamboo plant, it is used as an integral part of garden design that accentuates a small pond, or fountain. Many enthusiast use equisetum hyemale as a ground cover planted in a shady places.
In this video, I will show how I propagate my horsetail plant from cuttings. I use coconut shell planter (https://youtu.be/gOokfP2L3xM) and DIY potting soil mix.
Potting mix or soil works fine for potted horsetail plant. Make sure to keep the soil moist when horsetail plants are young. In few months time, it will produce baby horsetail plants 🎍.

How to grow succulents from seeds
I was introduced to three ways of growing succulents and this is the first of the three methods. The first one is growing from seeds, second is growing from leaves, and the third is by stem cuttings. I am hesistant to try the last two approach that is why I ended up growing from seeds.
With the help of my supportive partner, we bought rare succulent seeds online. But the thing is, there are online sellers who are scamming online shoppers, so its a game of "I hope these are succulent seeds".
Then it arrived. Ecstatic to see whether these are really succulents seeds.
Without further ado, this is my first attempt of growing succulents from seeds. I used to techniques; cotton method, and soil. Guess which produces a high yield? Watch till end.
